Who's Profiling Who??

The "new" Arizona ILLEGAL Immigration law is being called an open invitation to profile latinos. Well, let me tell ya...

The new law the passed is superfluous because all it is doing is enforcing existing federal law! This law is making the law enforcement community of Arizona do what it already should have been doing! This reminds me of a joke... how many times do you have to pass a law before it is enforced? Well, maybe not a joke joke... but ... you get the point, I think...

Let me ask you a question... do you profile people when you see them or hear their name? I bet you do... even you goodie two-shoes liberals out there... don't think you do? What is the first thing you think when I mention that I'm a conservative? What's the first thing you think when I say the name Ann Coulter? Racist? Bigot? Homophobe? Dumb Blonde? uh-huh... thought so. That, my friend, is profiling. You are guilty.

In fact, ABC has a show on occasionally called "What Would You Do?" It's a neat little show that puts people in situations and gauges the reactions of everyday Americans. The change up their actors race and gender in the course of the social experiment. One "test" was a boy obviously stealing a bike from a public park. They changed the actor from white to black to blonde girl. I would charge ABC with a hidden agenda themselves for not making one of the thieves a latino. None of their experiments had latino participants. I don't know why... but it was suspect.

I'm a fan of a group on facebook called "It's not racism, stupid... YOU ARE ILLEGAL!! How is wanting people coming into this country to use the proper channels considered racist? Yes, it's expensive... yes, it takes time. But, good things come to those who wait. Being an American is a great thing, and should be attained through legal channels.

Thus comes the second problem with ILLEGAL immigrants... they don't WANT to be Americans. If they did, they would obey the law. When you want to be a part of something, you follow the directions to be included, right? You want to join a fraternity, you go through initiation. You want that 100k a year job? You go through the rigorous job interview process. You don't just move into the frat house or take an office in a corporation! They would kick you out in a mili-second! Why should we let people who haven't earned the right to be an American, people who openly fly Mexican flags, people who have no love for this country, through it's doors?

Now, I will admit to being suspicious of this bill when it first passed just because I was scared of what the liberals and fascists in DC could do with the "Show us your papers" thing come election time... you give them an inch, they take miles and miles, you know... But, since they are really the only people bellyaching about the bill, I'm getting more and more comfortable with it.

But, the first time some leftist asks for my voter registration card or other form of papers, look out.
