Episode Review: V – We Can't Win (Season 1, Episode 8)
Ok, this is really late and I apologize – I will have last week’s up tomorrow and then back on Tuesday with the new episode… possibly. Hopefully. All I can say is that, work has been crazy and it is still snowing here in Utah. And I just had a KFC Mashed Potato Bowl and a root beer float. Not that you need to hear about my deteriorating eating habits and lack of physical fitness.
REALSPACE: SpaceX has Falcon 9 and Dragon waiting on USAF
SpaceX has its new Falcon 9 sitting on the pad at Cape Canaveral waiting for the Air Force to certify its destruct package. The company states that they are ready to launch any time from May 11 2009 on.
This launch will test both the new Falcon 9 booster and the Dragon reusable supply ship for the ISS. SpaceX has a contract with NASA to use the Dragon for the American resupply commitment. The Dragon can also be reconfigured for manned flight but that has not been tested as of yet.
ORIGINAL FICTION: "Internal Bleeder" (Part 1)
The note read:
"If you want an exclusive on the story of the century, meet me in the parking lot at the corner of County Road 39 and County Road 32, one block south of highway two. The intersection of 32 and Highway Four is kind of tricky, so you might want to use the North Schauppsville Road exit, and then head west a block on 39.
Be there at 8PM precisely, and come alone. Or, you know, if you think that’s too pushy, bring a friend. Yeah, actually, you know what? Do bring a friend. Probably a good idea.
Sincerely,
Deep Throat"
Episode Review: Doctor Who:"Victory of the Daleks" (Episode 759)
Well, it was inevitable. Every Doctor has to encounter the Daleks, I'm just glad that they got it out of the way fairly quickly this time.
Was it worth watching? Well, yes. I won't force you to read my ramblings to find out if it's worth your valuable time.
Was it brilliant?
That, I'll make you take the leap for...
Eh.
If you want a recap, they've got a pretty encyclopedic one over at Wikipedia. Go look if you need the Cliff's notes. I'll wait.
THINGS WE'RE INTERESTED IN: "Jonah Hex" - the movie (2010)
Good cast (Excpting maybe Megan Fox, who's hot, so we'll let that slide), good character, and it's nice to see the DC also-rans getting a shot at the spotlight
EPISODE REVIEW: Stargate Universe: “Lost” (Season 1, Episode 15)
I was literally on the edge of my seat through this whole episode, and not just because of my chronic back pain. I’m a pretty jaded guy. I’ve seen everything TV can throw at me at least half a dozen times by now, so it’s really hard to engage me in something, but this was genuinely tense, and I was really expecting an ending that I didn’t get, which makes the differences between this show and the previous SG series all the more striking and interesting.
EPISODE REVIEW: Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: “Duped” (Season 1, Episode 2)
Here we are two episodes into the new series, and they’ve already got a really long way towards addressing and overcoming my reservations about the previous series, “Ben 10: Alien Force.” This new show is brighter, fuller, generally funnier. While it still feels like our characters are operating in a big vacant world where there’s usually only three or four people, there are at least other people walking by in the background.
Episode Review: Smallville: "Sacrifice" (Season 9, Episode 19)
Tonight is all about trust and death. Mind you, I'm in the throes of caffeine withdrawal ( 53 hours and counting) and my judgement may not be all that sound.
Recap
