Episode Review:BATMAN;The Brave and The Bold:"Chill of the Night" (Season 2, Episode 11)

I thought I'd try something different this week. Instead of doing the normal recap/play by play, I thought I'd capitalize on the fact that Canada gets this show ahead of us... and that they post it on Youtube.
So.... here's the teaser:

Episode Review: V – Pound of Flesh (Season 1, Episode 6)

Welcome back my fellow V-ites. According to our ever handy Comcast program synopsis, on tonight’s very special episode of “V”: Anna launches a pilot program to allow select groups of humans to live on the spaceships; Tyler uncovers a secret about his mom; Valerie’s accelerated pregnancy becomes an issue for Ryan; a sacrifice is made to save Ryan.

(redundant) EPISODE REVIEW: Lost: “Happily Ever After” (Season 6, Episode 11)

Since this season began, a subject of great debate amongst fanatics and sane people alike has been whether or not the “It never happened” timeline has any relationship to what’s going on in the ‘real’ timeline this year. There have been hints that it is - a brief flash of recognition between strangers, a flash of jamis vu*, the recurring theme of the ‘mirror’ - but nothing so overt that it can’t be reasoned away in some other fashion.

Episode Review: Lost: "Happily Ever After" (Season 6 Episode 11)
Since it seems to help the synoptically disadvantage, tonight's logline reads: Desmond awakens and discovers that he's on the island.
Oh that is Sooo descriptive. It's like "Charlie wakes up to discover he's dead".
Well, what does Desmond discover after his cup o' joe?
Jump to find out. Do I need to say that our recaps contain spoilers?

RETROSPECULATIVE TV: Man From Atlantis: “Imp” (Season 2, Episode 11)

There’s a lot of negative things you can say about Man From Atlantis: You can call it stupid, boring, tedious, ignorant, stupid, anti-intellectual, vapid, insulting, infantile, incoherent, poorly written, completely un-thought-out, a waste of time for all involveand all those criticisms are bang on the money. I’ve made all of them myself, and I’m not taking any of ‘em back. But one thing the show has never been was flat-out embarrassing. Goofy, yes. So embarrassing that you actually feel badly for the actors? No.
Until now, of course.

First Impressions: Doctor Who: "The Eleventh Hour" (Spoiler Free)

This is going to be quick bit about my impressions of the new Doctor, Matt Smith and his debut episode. There will be a full review, complete with the ordinary stuff I normally pack into my reviews a bit closer to the BBC-America debut date.

EPISODE REVIEW: Survivors: “Episode Two” (Season 2, Episode 2)

Is it a bad sign that I keep taping this show and forgetting to watch it? I think it must be. Between BBC-A’s strangely self-destructive strategy of running this show up against Lost, its less-than-action-packed stories, and its general downer subject matter - seriously, if you’re doing a post apocalyptic story it has to feature mohawked gay bikers with crossbows at some point - I just keep pushing it to the bottom of my ‘must watch’ pile.
But my apathy was unwarranted this time out, as this is arguably the best episode they’ve done.

EPISODE REVIEW: Stargate: Universe : “Space” (Season 1, Episode 11)

SGU returns, and really not a moment too soon. Actually, I don’t know what I mean by that, it just came out. Certainly I’ve been missing the show, certainly I’ve been looking forward to seeing new episodes, but there is a strange feeling of relief involved in the show coming back which I hadn’t realized I had until now. I wonder why that is? Certainly there’s no shortage of other SF shows on the air right now.
Ah well.
