EPISODE REVIEW: SMALLVILLE: "Total Justice" (Season 9, Episode 11)

Play by Play
On a dark night in a blind alley, Chloe meets Sylvester "Star Spangled Kid" Pemberton… apparently another superhero. He states that they are both attempting to do the same thing: form a team. Before he can say anymore, the air develops a chill. This alarms Pemberton, who throws Chloe into a dumpster. A violent cold based attack rocks the dumpster… and apparently kills Pemberton.

EPISODE REVIEW:BATMAN;The Brave and The Bold:"A Bat Divided!" (Season 2, Episode 8)

It's been a little while since we've seen a bona fide origin story on this show- usually a good thing, because origins tend to be dreadful, honestly. Does B:TBATB manage to dodge the bullet this time, or are we in for a Firestorm of controversy?

REPUBLIBOT WEEKEND MOVIE PREVIEW: Movies Opening 2-05-10

So here we are. There is you and here are me.
This week on the Republibot Weekend Movie Preview we have a relatively slow week, still, that doesn’t mean we won’t have fun together. All it takes is two – or at least one really dedicated individual…

Iron Sky is back on/in the air...

Hey, whady'a know? I've just been informed by Jarmo Puskala that the Iron Sky fan page is back up on facebook. The ironically faceless corporation backed down  due to all the negative press they'd received over the measure, and I'm pleased as punch to announce that our own caterwauling here on The 'Bot was part of that.

My Final Word on Fan Hatred of the (not so) New (anymore) Star Wars Trilogy

What adult Star Wars fans who hate episodes 1-3 with a kind of religious fervor have forgotten is that they fell in love with the original trilogy when they were kids. All the adult critics of their day kept talking about how bad Star Wars was. Isaac Asimov ripped it to shreds. The fans loved those movies as kids. Kids today love the new trilogy. What everyone seems to be missing is that every movie in the series has some major flaw that’s laughable. I mean how bad a shot can a storm trooper be (episode IV)?

EPISODE REVIEW: Lost: “LAX” (Season 6, Episodes 1 and 2)

I was feeling terrible last night, just full-on sick terrible. One of those flu-days where you just want to go to bed at 7, and lapse into a coma for a couple days until you’re feeling better. I really didn’t feel like staying up for two hours of Lost, and I didn’t feel like I’d have been able to do it even if I wanted to. I try to put the needs of you, the readers, before my own, however, and I figured I’d give it a shot.

BREAKING NEWS: Is Facebook Afraid of Moon Nazis? Iron Sky Fan Page Closed Down

[This just in from our friends working on the "Iron Sky" movie in Europe right now: ]
This morning the creators of the science fiction movie Iron Sky were in for a rude surprise: their Facebook page, which has gathered thousands of fans, was closed down by the administration without any warning. Apparently Facebook considers the idea of a movie about Nazis having escaped to Moon in 1945 and coming back to invade Earth in 2018 as "hateful, threatening or obscene".
